These days, some lovers of Nigerian music are not happy that most artistes today perform songs with their CDs given to the DJ just for few minutes and then leave the stage, smiling to the bank.

Some Nigerians believe that for one to call himself a good artistes, aside just depending on his CD, he should be able to perform with a live band as that goes to show how good they are.

Kennis Music signee, Joel Amadi better known as Joe El, has aired his opinion on why some singers do not like using live band which has to do with money.

The singer pointed out that some artistes who have performed with live band do that because they have been well payed but some show organizers tends to leave one stranded.

In his words, “The money they pay you can’t buy your costumes, pay for their hotel rooms. Lots of Nigerian artistes that perform with live band is because they had their show on a very massive stage. I do live music but it depends on the pay. The likes of Davido, Wizkid and others only do better with live band because the pay is good. I have had the opportunity of paying my guys from my pocket to avoid problem.”
