Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan, is currently bitter with the way elders in the Nigerian society and political leaders handle some issues in the country especially relating to the girl child.

Funke’s anger was coming from a recent picture that went viral showing an underage girl being given out in marriage to a man old enough to be her father.

The actress took her time to wonder how a matured man will be able to have an affair and enjoy it with a little girl that knows nothing and not even mature or ripe in all aspects.

According to her, “I don’t know how true this story is but investigation is ongoing. This young, innocent, scared little girl is nowhere near marriage! She should be in school either formal or informal learning how to be somebody in her life. I can’t picture a man putting his p*nis inside this child. It is not only barbaric, it is inhumane. This act should not continue, it should be fought to a standstill. I hereby call on our distinguished NASS at both the upper and lower chamber of the house to not only investigate this matter but to also make a law putting a stop to this disastrous act. A girl is a potential mother of nations; her strength should not be ruined!”
