You were once a beauty queen, how credible will are these beauty pageants in Nigeria?

Beauty pageants have come a long way ever since the Country had its first pageant in the 60's. There has been various pageants and sponsorship involved knowing the awareness of the girl child empowerment in the society.

Today we see various beauty shows being organized in the country do you think these beauty shows have any impart on the society?

I believe some of the pageants have aims and objective and not far from enhancing the girls dreams of contributing positively to the society .

Is it true that some of these ladies that register for the shows or modeling agencies, they end up in the beds of the rich men?

I totally disagree, this are just bull stories told by sexist and uncivilized individuals. Individual contestants has a chaperone, usually a much matured woman that protect and advice the young adult on the right course.

Of what importance are these beauty shows to the growth of a country as people recognize beauty pageants that is internationally known like miss world?

Miss World aims is to help globally countries that desperately needs help, destitute, Aids awareness, Aides to war torn countries what have you; and other pet programmes chosen by the winning queen. Their objective is to contribute to the society through their programmes .

Every country is preaching about the girl child and good education is beauty pageants part of the ways to empower the girl child?

Yea. Some beauty pageant prizes comprises; furthering the winner that's the queen's education overseas e.g Miss World. Whilst others help and support the winners pet programmes. Every contestant before participating has a pet programme to carry out if crowned, obviously that is a piece of knowledge and responsibility to hold as a young person. It's a way of empowering the queen as an individual.

As Africans, we keep talking about good morals when it comes to dressing, will you say that wearing of Bikini pants on runways just for a crown is part of the good morale?

Africa is a civilized ground. Gone are the days, people shy away from wearing bikinis, because of cultural differences. Remember these bikinis are worn in closed doors merely for the pageants and not worn out in the streets. Furthermore, it 's not worn provocatively as a lap-dancer or worn as a pole dancer!

During your time, you got jobs on merit but these days you must know someone somewhere before you get a modeling job, so where is the merit?

Thank you for that compliments. I appreciate. I haven't heard of anyone or known a person been harassed before getting a modelling contract. I will say and advised anyone to desist from such corrupt practices because it does not tell good of the business. I'm very proud to say that, I was seriously caste with other young ladies, we had to demonstrate intelligence and body screening on cameras, the skin, and finally women are mostly the screening judges especially beauty soap TV modelling .
