Motbensonz to celebrate 5th edition of Beat of Lagos with a lifestyle carnival

After four successful editions, organisers of the much talked about beat of Lagos concert has concluded plans to make this year's edition a very unique and interesting one with an open air carnival that will showcase the sounds that the city has enjoyed all these while.
Billed to hold in October, this year's edition promised to put together a musical concert showcasing all the great songs that have rocked the city in the last five years.
In a chat with the CEO of Motbensonz, Toye Benson who also is the organiser, he said, “With 2016 making 5 years of the concert we would be putting together a musical showcasing all the great songs that have rocked the city in the last 5 years and also appreciate the brains behind them. We have decided to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the concert series with an open Air Carnival showcasing the lifestyle and Sounds the city has enjoyed so far “he concluded.
The Beat of Lagos concert debuted in 2011, provides an atmosphere for networking and also serves as a timeout to celebrate entertainment icons and songs that has kept us dancing the year round. The concert accommodates a minimum of 3,000 physical crowds yearly. “Beat of Lagos Award” was introduced at the 2014 edition and endorsed by the Lagos state Government while the Mavin crew won the award for their song Dorobucci. The 2015 award went a notch higher by rewarding the winner Adekunle Gold for the hit song Sade with a plot of land at the Lekki.
The previous editions had performances from top artistes like, PSquare, Tuface, M.I , Jesse Jags, Wande coal, Skales, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Burna boy, Dr Sid, hidinma, Wizkid, Olamide, Phyno, Iyanya, Dammy Krane, Yemi Alade, Lynnx among others.
