Nneji, who spoke at a one day seminar, organized by City People Magazine under the theme, “How The Newly Revamped PMAN will help the music/creative industry” is vying for the association's top position alongside rapper Ruggedman.
Speaking at the event, Sunny Nneji said that PMAN under his watch will do everything to improve the quality of lives of average musicians in the country. “Entertainers are facing a lot of challenges today. It's sad that those whose works are making people happy are not happy themselves, owing to harsh working environment that does not allow artistes to enjoy the fruits of their labour. The new PMAN will put in place the right structure that will enable intellectual property owners to reap the fruits of their labour,”Nneji said.
However, speaking in the same vein, the outgoing interim President of PMAN, Pretty Okafor recounted the challenges that PMAN had faced since he assumed office.
He hinted that the once troubled association is about to have a new leadership that will transform the lives of Nigerian entertainers as they hold their general election next month.
