Omotola Launches Ghandour's Be A Star Competition over Twitter
Mozaic's fabulous client Ghandour Cosmetics recently launched a major social media campaign for the launch of BO-16 (Beauty Over 16) hair care in Lagos, Nigeria.
BO-16 is specifically formulated for African hair and priced for the African woman who values beauty on a budget. Who better to announce the launch of this beautiful brand in Lagos than Nigeria's golden girl, Omotola J. Ekeinde.
The acclaimed Omotola announced the news to her nearly 5 million followers, during her monthly #Osexyfriday chat. Long before Mozaic Media began handlingGhandour's social media accounts Omotola aka OmoSexy was the face of the BO-16brand. She's also one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential , Nollywood Royalty, a philanthropist and so much more. This was, however, the first twitter chat between her and Ghandour and we think it was a smashing success!

As with any Twitter chat the most important aspect is engagement. Announcing a competition - no matter how cool the prizes - won't work unless the audience is invested. So rather than just jumping into the competition, Omotola first introduced the brand and then steered her audience into a conversation about women, hair and beauty.

What makes a women beautiful was the question at hand and there were some comical answers. Like one gentleman who encouraged his girlfriend to chop off all her hair given the current economic condition of the country. Needless to say they're no longer together. Locks before love, people!

There's less than a month to go before the big BO-16 Launch in Nigeria and we've got plenty planned for social media during that time, but it was a great kick-off thanks toOmotola! Keep up with Ghandour on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter .
