Tony One Week completes Igbo movie
Top actor, filmmaker and musician Tony One Week Muonagor has finally broken the jinx of the long absence of Igbo language movies in Nollywood. He recently completed production on the first Igbo movie after over a decade hiatus. The Igboawawa Foundation, a brainchild of Muonagor and some of his friends are powering the star-studded and yet- to-be titled flick, which was shot in Asaba, the capital of Delta State. Leading Igbo names in the movie, include: Emeka Ike, Chiege Alisigwe, Amechi Muonagor, Sam Loco-Efe, Dan Oluigbo, Ngozi Nwaneto and a host of others. In the words of Abuja based Muonagor: “ It is an Igbo cause aimed at sustaining our language, for this generation and those yet unborn”. Gathered that when the postproduction is completed, the big budget movie would be premiered and screened round the world.
