EMEKA OGBOH’S SOUNDS OF LAGOS REVEALLED
Youthfully and artistically talented Nigeria born but Egypt trained Sound artist is joining force and resources together with the foremost painter, Bob Aiwerioba, a master painter who received his University education in Norway, to exhibit the first-ever Sound Installation and Painting Exhibition. This exhibition, as part of the ongoing Lagos Soundscape Project, will record and achieve the Lagos acoustic ecology for creative and research purposes.
The project organized by African Artists' Foundation will also feature collaborations with international sound artists like the Macedonia Aleksander Grodanovski, Dimitar Dodovski and Harald Schrez from Austria while the Nigerian spoken word poet Sage Hasson will also play a part. The Sounds of Lagos, which will be illustrated by Emeka at the new African Artists' Foundation Headquarters at Raymond Njoku Street, Off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos on the Thursday 12th of February by 5pm prompt, 2009, is tagged This is Lagos.
