Joseph Yobo cancels retirement…jumps back to play in NPL new season
Few weeks ago, news of the retirement of former Eagles captain went viral, and a football match which had in attendance football stars was played in his honor for his retirement.
But it looks like the star is not really willing to quit football as rumor has it that he would be playing in the next season of NPL and also act as their ambassador.
He would be playing in the last 12 rounds of the season, this is said to help sell the image of the club he would be representing, and the player is so ready to do his beat.
The league body announced that: 'Joseph Yobo would play at the last 12 NPFL games this season and as the League Ambassador. He is signed on by the LMC'.
So far, clubs such as Akwa United, Ifeanyi ubah, Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists who seems cool with the idea have indicated that they want the former Everton defender in their teams.
