Seyi Shay Apologized to Wizkid Over Interview Blunder
Seyi Shay must have been misinformed when US /Nigerian rapper, Wale said that Drake's hit song'One Dance' was Wizkid's song judging from the sound
and rhythm. Seyi who is in Jamaica openly said that it was Wizkid who wrote the song but Wizkid told her that she was lying.
Seyi said during an interview in Jamaica “The same debate is
going on in Africa right now, that he sampled an Afrobeat. That song is actually Wizkid's song .So it's not Drake's song. I don't know if I can talk about this but Wizkid wrote it, Legendary Beatz did the beat and some other Nigerian producers produced it as an Afrobeats song and they stripped a lot of the music away and just left the rhythm”.
She quickly apologized when Wizkid told her that she should get her facts straight “I Love Wiz and I was just trying to defend my bro,” she said, adding, “I stand for African music.
I spoke based on 'hear say' but I was misinformed.” She said
Wizkid accepted the apology . “Love my girl Seyi Shay regardless,”
