Doris Simeon speaks about discrimination in Nollywood
Quite a number of actors have spoken about discrimination in Nigerian movie industry, which is mostly between the English speaking sector and the Yoruba speaking sector.
Some Yoruba actors often complain about been discriminated, and perceived as illiterates because they speak an indigenous language.
Despite the said discrimination, some Yoruba actors sometimes feature in English movies.
Nollywood actress, Doris Simon in a recent interview with Pulse TV, revealed that she is not aware of any discrimination clamored about by some of her colleagues in the industry.
In her words: “I have never experienced it on my own part, I really cannot say if there's discrimination or not. Maybe because I communicate with every member of the industry whenever we meet, even if we haven't worked together.”
