A 35-year-old suspected burglar was reportedly drawn in a well on Modupe Ajayi Close in the Alagbado area of Lagos State. The unidentified man according to report fell into the well in an attempt to scale the fence into the compound at about 1 a.m

The residents were awaken by his groans as he struggles with his life inside the well. They alerted the police as well as the officials of the Lagos State Fire Service.

The Director of the Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, said there was an ongoing effort to establish the identity of the victim.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Dolapo Badmos, who confirmed the incident said “At about 1.30am, one Tosin Babatunde of Modupe Ajayi Close, Alagbado, came to the station and reported that a man of unknown identity, suspected to be a thief, scaled the fence into their compound and landed in a well.”
