Chika Ike Ebireri who is becoming Nollywood vibrant new actress has been in the industry less than 5 years, but has about 30 movie credit to her name. Chika who is still a student at the University of Lagos, and got married a few years ago admits that it is very challenging mixing a career, education and been a wife. Also venturing into other businesses apart from acting, she speaks to Inspire Magazine on her achievements so far.
 
What movie would you say brought you to the limelight?
Chika Ike Ebireri: Bless the child; it was actually my first lead role in a movie though it had a sad ending, which involved thedeath of my character (nikita).

Apart from acting, what else are you involved in?
Chika Ike Ebireri: Well, I own a restaurant and a bar, and also a student.

What else would you want to achieve?
Chika Ike Ebireri: I have a lot of dreams and aspirations as every other person and most importantly it has to be centred on putting a smile on people faces and touching lives.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Chika Ike Ebireri: I see myself in 5 years achieving some of my goals and dreams, having a beautiful family and being what God has destined me to be in 5 years

A lot of people are not aware that you are married; do you still get advances from men? And if you do, how do you handle it?
Chika Ike Ebireri: Its very normal and healthy for men to make advances, I will be worried if it stopped, most importantly knowing where to draw the line with them that's what really matters.

Do you feel restricted to do certain movies because you are married?
Chika Ike Ebireri: Restricted? No....i still play roles i used to play when i was single. This is my job and i have to do it well.

What are the things you would like to see change in Nollywood?
Chika Ike Ebireri: Well, right about now, Nollywood has done so well, but in terms of technicality, we need to beef that up and also do movies on 35mm.

Christmas is approaching, what is your wish this year?
Chika Ike Ebireri: I wish to the best i can be.

How would you be spending Christmas this year?
Chika Ike Ebireri: With my family and well wishers
