It was in the media recently that current Miss Heritage Nigeria 2015, Benedicta Akpana, was robbed earlier in the month in South Africa after she arrived her hotel in preparation for the Miss Heritage World contest in Johannesburg on November 15, where she represented Nigeria.

The beauty queen explained that she was robbed when she arrived Johannesburg on the 8th November and went straight to her camp (Park Inn hotel) in Sandton.

According to Benedicta, she was waiting to be checked into her room at about 7:00am when three men deposed her of her belongings and travel documents at gun point at the reception and allegedly before the receptionist and security guards, who couldn't help.
It was disclosed that the management of the hotel has compensated her and also apologised to her over the unfortunate incident.
