British-Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor can now add CBE to his list of accolades after being honored by the British Royal family with the title of the Order of the British Empire ( OBE ), back in 2008. The 12 Years A Slave actor was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by the Duke of Cambridge during an official ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London on Tuesday morning.
The 38-year-old star was overcome with emotion as he spoke to Prince William in front of the large crowd assembled, beaming with pride as he was recognised for his services to drama.
