Police Grills KWAM 1 For 6 Hours Over Ago-Iwoye Shooting

Fuji star, K1 De Ultimate, has been quizzed by men of the Ogun State Police Command over the shooting of a student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, about three weeks ago when the musician performed in the town.

KWAM 1, as the artiste is also called, was a guest of the Command on Tuesday to explained what he knows about the incident. It was alleged that a security guard attached to the singer shot the female student, identified as Azeez Kofoworola.

The victim is of the Department of Business Education and was reportedly shot on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Limelight Hotel, Ago-Iwoye.

Though the singer debunked the shooting, he was however invited by the police and he appeared at the Eleweran Headquarters of the Ogun Police Command in Abeokuta, where he was grilled for about six hours before he was granted bail.

KWAM 1 was said to have been released after he provided a surety who promised to provide him for further interrogation by the police when required.

Vanguard reports that the acting Police spokesman in Ogun State, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the interrogation, said the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau on the order of the Commissioner of Police.
