Former Mr Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese has explained why he cherishes women very much. Ikubese, who is also an actor, told The Nation that because of his love for women, he has taken it upon himself to protect their interests.

This, according to him, was what led to his advocacy project called 'Respect A Woman (RAW)', which is aimed at kicking against domestic violence against women in the society.

The 2014 Mr Nigeria urged men to learn to be patient with the spouses no matter the provocation. He said though women can be stubborn “but as a man, you should know how to control such situation" rather than "letting that situation control you.”

Speaking further, the handsome dude told The Nation that, “I just love women; they are amazing, beautiful beings that actually need to be protected.

"I have an amazing relationship with my mum and I will not tolerate it when another man tries to hit my mum. I also have a beautiful sister and I can't imagine seeing her in such a situation. Women are very vulnerable, so it's easy for them to lose their lives in the process.”
