It is a mystery that can not be explained when Mrs Chinyere Mbam was bitten yesterday by a strange scorpion on her way back from the wake-keep of her friend,Oge Ogashi.

Chinyere Mbam who hails from Enyi Igwe village, Ezzainyimagu community in Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State was rushed to a traditional healing home in the area for treatment.

She returned back to the husbands house were she passed on after failing to respond to treatment.

Mr Ishiali Ikwe, who claimed to be her uncle confirmed her death by saying that the deceased was bitten by a scorpion when she was trekking back home after attending a wake keep of her friend.

Meanwhile, all preparations about the burial rites have been halted until Stephen Mbam whom the deceased has been co-cohabiting with for 3years without fulfilling any marital rites performs preliminary traditional marriage on the deceased.
