“In close to three decades, Nollywood has positioned itself as the most viable information dissemination and imahe-making tool in Africa, as well as a veritable vehicle for social change, providing jobs for over 250,000 Nigerians, in all sphere of the production and distribution process,” Aganbi said.

“The Nollywood Security Forum brings together top panel of expert to focus on key security issues, specific role of Nollywood and the climax will be a communique on the Road to Recovery for Nigeria in the security sector,” he added.

The Lagos AGN boss also said the forum is themed 'National Security, Nollywood and the Quest for a more Inclusive and Peaceful Society.'

Aganbi said the seminar will give the Nigeria Police to present their plans and policies and the private sector to opportunity to provide insights into challenges and possible role for Nollywood. He further said participants will have the platform to network with key stakeholders in the security sector.

The celebrated and highly intelligent actor said the event will also explore areas the police can partner with the film industry for effective policing which is an integral part of the broad based vision of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase to forging a new and robust relationship with community.

The Nollywood Security Forum will be hosted by Lagos AGN in conjunction with the Crime Reporters Association, Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria Police Force.
