Vincent Enyeama Lose Mother, Begs Nigerians for Understanding
Super Eagles of Nigeria shot stopper, Vincent Enyeama, has tendered his apologies to Nigerians after he pulled out of the Super Eagles squad ahead of the AFCON qualifiers in Tanzania over the weekend.
The keeper was scheduled to be part of the 22 man squad invited by the National team coach, Sunday Oliseh, but pulled out of the team at the very last minute.
Enyeama was told over the weekend after his club match that his mother had died which made him cancel all engagements to mourn his mother.
In his words, “So sorry I won't make it out there to wear this shirt. So sorry that I won't be standing there singing the anthem of my sweet NIGERIA. We are Nigeria. I wish that this darkness didn't come in daylight. I wish that I could turn back the hand of time. I wish, I just wish that I could take away this pain. Let the rain wash away this pain.”
