Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, has reacted to stories making the rounds that she disrupted a live television programme on LTV 8 not too long ago. According to what is being rumoured, the actress abruptly stopped a programme called 'Gbarada,' anchored by Yemi Sodimu on Sundays.

Moji explained to Encomium in an interview that what actually happened was that she was given a bottle of schnapps on the programme to swear with, which she “politely” declined because of her religious faith.

According to her, the programme went on and not stopped because the presenter respected her view on the issue.

“People only misinterpreted what happened that day on show. You should understand that some who don't really understand some things are the ones that enjoy peddling false rumour.

"What actually happened was that he gave me Schnapps to pray with, and I politely told him I don't drink alcohol, being a Muslim, which he also agreed with me.

“The programme went on fine as usual. Nothing was disrupted. Maybe people didn't really notice what happened on the programme before they started peddling unnecessary rumour," the actress narrated.

She described the rumour as an “absolute lie" asking "how can I do that?”
