Hard Time Hit Late Fatai Rolling Dolars Wife,Kids
Eldest wife of the late musician, Fatai Rolling Dollars, Zainab, 49, has disclosed that her husband's death has really affected them that they are not able to feed anymore.
Zainab disclosed that while her husband was alive, she was selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages within their Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos, residence, but her husband did not allow her go outside to sell as the proceeds being recovered is not enough to meet their average demands.
“Since 2013 before my husband passed on, I was selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, but the proceeds of the trade are not enough to pay all the bills,” she told Newtelegraph.
Speaking further, she stated that with how worse things have turned out, she now needs a job to become a street sweeper so as to be able to care for her family.
“Things have really gone even worse, so much that, as I speak to you, I'm looking for a job to be a street sweeper (a.k.a. highway managers). There's no family member of Baba anywhere that has the ability to help because his siblings are old and weak. I approached one of his nephews last year when Jamiu was to enroll in Vetland Secondary School, but I could tell that he also had enough up his sleeves. He promised us N10,000 which he has not been able to fulfil since then. But people around us bring us food, some stipends and that's what I live on with my boys.”
