Multiple award winning actor, Chigozie Atuanya has indeed had his own fair share of the ups and downs of life.

The proud father of one is bereaved and in a mourning mood, as he had recently, lost someone so special to him to the cold hands of death. On February 5, 2015, his Father, Dominic Nonyelum
Atuanya, breathed his last after a brief illness.

On that painful loss, the Nri-Anambra state thespian, revealed that he actually shed tears like a baby.

Aside crying for the shocking demise of his late who he also sees and refers to as his jewel, the actor admitted missing the smiles of his late father, because he lived a life worthy of emulation.

The Blackberry Babe star actor said it has not been easy for him and other members of his family, because they are still in shock that such a humble man has passed on.

"My father had supported me immensely; we travelled together to my father-in-law's village when he lost his sister. He accompanied me together with my relatives, as traditions demand to play our parts as in-laws. The way my father danced that fateful day, you wouldn't believe his life could be cut short. However, my father's death has really devastated me. But I can't question God for taking away my precious jewel," he said in an emotional laden voice.

Zeeloo, as he fondly called by close friends and loves ones, noted the lessons he had learnt from his father before his demise.

He said he taught him to be upright in everything he is doing in life, which he avowed he would also pass onto his children.

Late Elder Dominic Nonyelum Atuanya (Nnabuenyi) will be buried at his compound in Akamkpisi Agbani Village, Nri, Aniocha LGA, Anambra State on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
