Nigerian Actor Set To Play James Bond
Nigerian British actor, David Oyelowo is set to become the new James Bond, reports Vanguard.
While delivering the almost unbelievable news, David Oyelowo has been asked by the Ian Flemming estate to play the prestigious character in a Anthony Horowitz-written audio book.
The actor will be recording the character for a newly commissioned book for Trigger Mortis.
Speaking about the worldwide project, Oyelowo said, "I am officially the only person on planet Earth who can legitimately say: 'I am the new James Bond' – even saying that name is the cinematic equivalent of doing the 'to be or not to be' speech."
The actor who was the first black to play the role of King Henry VI for a major Shakespeare production said. "I was asked specifically by the Fleming estate, which is really special."
