Several stars in Nigeria now realise the importance of helping those in need instead of lavishing money on material things when some people in the society they came out from are languishing in poverty.
Empress Njamah, 2Face Idibia are among celebs who do philanthropic works.
The 2014/2015 Miss Heritage Nigeria, Benedicta Akpana, as part of her own way of giving back to the society, visited the camp of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Gwoza and Bama, Abuja. She was accompanied to the place by Nollywood actor, Vincent Nnamdi Opurum.
She also visited the Survival Orphanage Home Maitama, Abuja to show love to the children, where she later adopted a girl at the home named Anita.
