Why I Told Saint Obi To Sleep With Snake In ‘Sakobi’—Zeb Ejiro

Nollywood producer and director, Zeb Ejiro, has disclosed that the present crops of actors in the country today are after money and not passion for acting.

The veteran filmmaker, best known for hit movies like 'Domitilla', 'Nneka The Pretty Serpent', 'Sakobi' and many other movies, stated that the early actors like Saint Obi, who slept beside a live snake in the movie 'Sakobi', had passion for the profession despite the crude equipment used in filmmaking back then.

Zeb disclosed that most up and coming actors now request for money before taking part in a film production.

The prolific director made these statements during a popular TVC programme, Entertainment Splash, last week, which was monitored by Nollywoodgists.com.

Speaking on why he brought a live snake on the set of 'Sakobi', Zeb explained that he wanted to do something different.

According to him, “The movie I will give myself thumbs up is 'Sakobi' because of the storyline and everything about the movie, considering the fact that it was shot when there was no modern equipment.
