It is no longer news that Toke Makinwa's husband, Maje Ayida allegedly impregnated his ex-girlfriend, Anita Solomon and that the lady has travelled abroad to have their baby.

But what might be news is the plea by Maje to his wife for forgiveness. He also urged members of the public to allow him settle the issues privately.

“I am writing to express my sincerest apologies to my wife. I was wrong, it is indefensible and I am sorry.

“I deeply regret what my wife and my family has had to endure. My behaviour has caused a lot of anguish to everyone. Though this matter has been very public in nature, it is a private issue and I would appreciate the opportunity to face it privately.

“I love my wife and will make every effort to make things right,” he wrote on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

Recall that Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida got married in January 2014 after their off and on relationship that spanned about 12 years.
