One of the top Fuji musicians in Nigeria, Abass Akande, better known as Obesere, has delved into catering and events management business.

Obesere, well-known for his lewd songs, though has been operating the business underground for some time now, officially launched Obesere Catering & Events Management not too long ago.

According to information gathered by Nollywoodgists.com, the business will be managed by Princess Yetunde Sogade Ajulo, a Nigerian based in England. Ajulo is said to have been in the hospitality business for over 10 years.

She runs a similar outfit in London, England and she is expected to use her expertise to grow Obesere's business.

Speaking on the launch of his business, the music star said, “I am not a novice in the business, it is what I have been doing for a very long time but lately, I decided to make it official and also show my face as the chairman.”

“It is a long-term dream, which I thank God that I am actualizing now. I want to touch every part of entertainment so that my fans and Nigerians as a whole can enjoy and benefits from me.

“I don't think this can affect my music career because I have hotels and the business has not affected my career so far, I would not be there as the manager or front desk person. That is why I employed competent hands to handle it for me and I must confess that I am impressed with the way they have been working.

“I loved cooking, when I was younger and I think that was what gave birth to Obesere Catering & Events Management,” the acclaimed 'Oba Alasakasa' said.

Furthermore, Obesere explained that, "The new venture will be catering to all kinds of events home and abroad, indoor/outdoor catering, Chinese foods, continental and African dishes, planning of events, events décor, small chops, chapman, fish and chicken barbeque, drinks and other related services."

Also, the Fuji star said, “Those who know me will tell you that I'm a cheerful giver, Obesere is a cheerful giver who makes life simple for himself by assisting people and my past can authenticate this.

“Sometimes, people invite me as a musician and at the same time as the event caterer. The two companies work together.

“I render the service at affordable prices just to give people peace of mind whenever they have events. In the past, I have catered for a lot of Nigerian celebrities including the out-gone Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State during his daughter's wedding, which took place at 10 Degrees, Billings Way, Ikeja Lagos.

“The company also catered at the Inauguration of Honourable Olumide Ogaga in Ondo State, at the burial of the mother of the Deputy Comptroller of Customs, Lagos Command, Dr. Otunba Ogidan and at several corporate events in Nigeria."

The new business has offices in Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta and Abuja.

Obesere is also the Chairman of ATC Integrated Services Limited, an indigenous oil and gas servicing company.
