ELEGANT stallion, Onyeka Onwenu has joined the growing list of personalities in the entertainment industry who have bagged government appointments. Recently, she was appointed the Chairperson for Arts and Culture by the Imo State government. This much was made public at a gathering of well wishers, friends, stakeholders in the entertainment industry and the press.

Speaking to newsmen present, the One Love crooner said she is glad that her efforts over the years have paid off with this appointment. She also stated that her recent appointment means so much to her because the era when musicians and people in the entertainment industry are seen as never-do-wells is definitely over. Onyeka added that she would do everything necessary to justify the confidence reposed in her by the Imo State government by executing a well thought out plan that will develop arts and culture in the State. It could be recalled that comedian, Okey Bakassi was also recently appointed as a Special Adviser on Entertainment by the Imo State administration.
