Though the news of Femi Adebayo, son of veteran actor, Adebayo Salami, better known as Oga Bello, getting married soon to his US-based lover shocked most of his fans, but those very close to him were not surprised with the news at all.

Before now, some of his fans may not have been aware that his marriage with the woman that bore him his children was already over, but most of them were in the know of his marriage issues, especially when popular actress, Funke Akindele came into the picture.

But in an interview with City People, Femi Adebayo, an actor also fondly called 'Jelili', disclosed that his former wife was the one who filed a divorce in a court to dissolve their marriage after they had both stayed separated for about two years.

“After about two years of separation, I think she couldn't take it any longer, she filed the divorce about four years ago. She filed it at an area court in Ilorin where the marriage was celebrated.

“The marriage was dissolved and we had agreement on how to take care of the babies, how to have access to them and all that. She has the custody of the children and that is that. Under the principle of Islam which our marriage was celebrated, she should have the custody of the children,” he said.
