Buhari’s Wife Keeps Sealed Lips On ‘N10m’ Wristwatch Controversy
Barely three days after assuming the position of the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari has been hit with her first storm.
It was alleged that the First Lady rocked an expensive designer Cartier Baignoire Folle wristwatch worth about N10.5million in her official portrait.
It was speculated that the18-Carat white gold diamond ladies' watch comes in a case made of rhodiumised white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds. On the side of the case is said to be an octagonal crown set with a diamond.
The case was described to be 44mm high, 35mm wide and 10mm thick and covered by glare-proof sapphire crystal glass.
According to a sample of the same wristwatch on The Watch Gallery, UK, it costs £34,500.
Meanwhile, neither the Presidency nor the First Lady has yet reacted to the issue.
