THIS is not the best of times for the management and staff of the National Film and Video Censors Board. The Nigerian apex film regulatory body was penultimate week thrown into a sudden mourning and painful mood as news that its Makurdi Centre Head, Mr. Kala'agi Nikanors had been killed by unidentified gunmen.

The sad incident took place at his Makurdi residence, at about 10.pm on the Sunday.
A statement issued by the board stated that Mr. Nikanors was shot in the head.

The statement disclosed that Mr. Nikannors gave up the ghost while being taken to the general hospital in Abuja for medical attention

In another development, the Minna, Niger-State Centre head, of the board, Mr. Lawrence Onoja was stabbed on the chest by a woman video club operator at Minna.

A release signed by the Director of Administration, Mr. Coleman Uba confirmed these incidents.
