Show Promoters Don’t Respect Rappers—Terry Tha Rapman
A top rapper in Nigeria, Terry tha Rapman, who now prefers to be addressed as TR, is not happy with show organizers in the country. The artiste said rappers in Nigeria are not accorded the respect they deserve in the entertainment industry.
According to him, show promoters do not recognize rappers, and said that is the main reason why they do not headline most shows in Nigeria.
“In the past 10 years, there has been a lot of improvement. We have foreign rappers doing collabos with Nigerian artistes so that is a plus for the industry. There are not enough platforms for rapper because there is no chance for rappers to showcase their stuff, so I think we should have an all rap concert with rappers headlining,” he said.
TR further noted that this has also affected the female folks in the game as they are also being neglected in the industry.
