ACTOR CUM POLITICIAN, ROTIMI MAKINDE OPENS NEW HOTEL

Chief R otimi Makinde, a prominent Yoruba actor yesterday played host to dignitaries for the official inauguration of his new ultramodern hotel in Ajuwon, a surburb of Lagos.The hotel ,named CAPRICONIAN HOTEL is magnificient edifice which stands elegantly in a class of its own in the neighbourhood.At the ceremony were top members of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practioners(ANTP) , an umbrella body for the artistes in the Yoruba genre of the Nigerian movie industry..Baba Suwe,his wife, Moladun, Baky Adeoye & his new wife, Ireti Osayemi, Yinka Quadri, Ose Omo Banke,and several others were in attendance..Soko-Juju exponent, Dayo Kujore, Remi Aluko, Abass Akande Obesere provided music entertainment while Akeem Enudunjuyo and a friend anchored the event..Gboyege Philips of Sound Image,London was also there just like the members of Lagos Car Dealers Ass. of Nigeria. Apart from being an actor, Chief Rotimi Makinde( The Mayegun of Ifewara, Osun State) is also a car dealer and a politician. He contested for the Senatorial seat of Osun South in the 2007 general elections on the platform of the Action Congress but lost narrowly..
