Before the fame and fortune, many people did not know that comedian, Bovi, was once bounced at a show he had been billed to perform some years ago.

Recounting his story on 'My Super Star Story', Bovi said he travelled to Lagos with the hopes of making it in the city, stating that he lived with one of his uncles, who was then squatting with a senior colleague.

He also narrated how he was faced with different embarrassment in his quest to become successful in the showbiz world. Bovi said at a time, he was not allowed to perform at a popular show he was already prepared for, explaining that he was forced to tears seeing other comedians performing at the same show.

"I was on the bill and I arrived on the day of the show. I was told 'sorry, you are not on the bill of the show.' I started begging. Comedians, who were not present when I got there, came in and had their time on stage. That night, I was sad. I shed tears," he recounted.

The highly successful humour merchant said prior to coming into comedy, he had resigned from his salary job just to pursue his passion.

He advised those willing to join the industry to be determined and focus because anyone can be successful.
