President Jonathan's Special Adviser on Research Documentation and Strategy, Oronto Douglas has been reported dead.

The close confidant to the president has been sick for a long period of time since the information broke out in 2012.

Since the same year reports, had it that the man who has been serving as an intermediary between the Presidency and the Nollywood practitioners, has been visiting the United States of America to get a solution for his illness.

According to Sharareporters, associates of President Jonathan said Douglas continued to work over the last few weeks for Mr. Jonathan's re-election, with one source saying he was devastated when his principal lost the presidential polls.

It was learnt that Mr. Douglas died from cancer-related complications.
