Election 2015: Muma Gee Escapes Assassination In Rivers State

Actress singer and performer turned politician Muma Gee Eke who had earlier dumped PDP to Labour party reportedly escaped an assassination attempt on her life at the heat of the elections.

Reports have it that Muma Gee who under the umbrella of Labour party is contesting for the Abua/Odua and Ahoada East federal constituency, had escaped assassination attempt during her campaign to the home town of the incumbent and flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party Hon. Betty Okaga-Apiafi.

It was also alleged that Hon. Okaga Apiafi had set up a militant camp in Okobo, Mrs. Eke's country home to chase out any opposition party that comes to campaign.

In a press conference held in Portharcourt, Rivers state capital, Muma Gee told newsmen that Hon. Betty of the P.D.P was behind the assassination attempt on her life because of the massive support she enjoy from the people especially Betty's kinsmen who had vowed to vote Betty okaga-apiafi out.

The mother of twin, further accused Betty of buying a brand new blue highlander and payment of a huge sum of money amounting to two million naira to militants to take her life, but God saved her.

The Labour party candidate also commended the security agencies who came to her rescue.
Muma Gee also appealed to all her supporters and followers to remain calm and peaceful as she had made an official report to security agencies on the matter.
