Only God Knows Why I Left P-Square—May D
Nigerian singer, Akinmayokun Awodumila better known as Mr May D became very popular after he worked with the P-Square brothers on the hit single titled, 'Chop My Money'. In the remix of the song, American music star, Akon, was featured in it, which enabled him rub shoulders with top music artistes in Nigeria.
But May D 'left' the P-Square family when the centre could no longer hold and this kept many people talking about the issue for some time.
After his exit from Northside Music Inc, owned by Jude Okoye, elder brother to the P-Square brothers, May D set up his label. Under his new music outfit, the singer has released hit singles, which have topped charts.
May D recently explained to Encomium he his exit from his former label was for a reason, expressing gratitude to God for his achievements so far.
According to him, “I think everything that happens is for a reason and God knows the reason I left P-Square. I thank God for all that I have achieved today.”
