AMSTEL MALTA RE-AFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO THE GROWTH OF NOLLYWOOD
Nigeria's No 1 premium low-sugar malt brand, Amstel Malta, has again demonstrated its support for Nollywood, rewarding actors Kunle Afolayan, O.C Ukeje, Kehinde Bankole And Steve Gukas for winning in their award categories at the just concluded AMVCAs as well as the sponsorship of an all-expense paid trip for 11 outstanding Theatre Arts students to the awards.
The brand has for a long time, continued to play an active role in the growth of the industry with platforms like Amstel Malta Box Office, Act The Part online competition, Amstel Malta Showtime and the sponsorship of the AMVCAs among others.
Speaking at the AMVCAs press briefing, the Corporate Affairs Adviser, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Kufre Ekanem, reiterated the brands readiness to continue with laudable projects to further progress the industry which currently ranks 2nd largest in the world.
“Amstel Malta is a brand that stands for the best, a brand that celebrates the best and the journey to being the best. The twist this year with the 4 million naira cash prize happened because we felt there needed to be some extra motivation for these winners who have emerged best in their categories but we assure you next year will certainly be better. We are really glad to have been a part of the AMVCAs since its inception and we have even greater plans in place to sustain our support for the industry.” he said.
The youths are also encouraged to keep doing their best with the assurance that they will find reward sooner than they think.
“Amstel Malta is set to do more. We have big plans in place and we urge everyone to rest, assured that this is just the beginning of greater things to unfold”, he adds.
