There is a popular saying that 'a mother is the god in the eyes of a child' and this is apparently why Nigerian RnB singer, Banky W is paying tribute to one of the pillars behind his successful music career.

The mother of the Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) boss was a year older, Monday, March 2, 2015 and the singer, who has recently displayed his rap skill, joined his siblings in sending the woman inspiring messages.

Banky W wrote, "Happy birthday to my prayer warrior, guidance counselor and the best woman I know, Momma W. Love you more than words could ever express. I would not be half the man I am without you. I love you forever and a day more."

Banky W gain the attention of Nigerians when he did the sample of Rihanna's 'Umbrella'. He later released 'Break My Heart', 'Lagos Party', 'Mr Capable', 'Strong Tin' and other singles, which established as a top artiste in Nigeria.
