NIGERIAN IDOL SEASON 5 STARTS TODAY
A hint of the drama, the tension and the emotion that would run through the Etisalat sponsored creative musical talent hunt show, Nigerian Idol Season 5 was re-enacted at an exclusive episode shown to special guests and the media recently at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
The sneak peek showed many hilarious and hair-raising moments during the auditions held in five cities across the country. As the show starts showing on various television stations today, you will see that the somewhat talkative Nigerian Idol judges, Yinka Davies, Dede Mabiaku and Dare Art-Alade are sometimes dumbstruck by the antics of the wannabe acts trying to impress them for a chance to main contest.
A couple of contestants came along with family members-husbands, wives, fathers , brothers and children. While some of them were happy to have these relatives share the excitment of their joyous moments, others regretted being tongue-lashed before their loved ones.
Head Events & Sponsorships, Etisalat Nigeria, Modupe Thani disclosed that Etisalat has put in place an interesting show for viewers and audience. “As a brand, we consider the youths as a critical audience and we are passionate about what drives them. This year's edition promises to be one of the best shows ever, because we have put so much in place to give the audience and viewers an all-round exciting experience.”
Etisalat Nigeria have been sponsors of Nigerian Idol for four seasons and has left no stone unturned in making this year's competition exciting; from the prizes to be won to an all-exciting television reality show.
This season, the winner of Nigerian Idol will be rewarded with N7.5 million cash reward, a brand new car, a recording deal with Universal Music Company worth N7.5 million amongst other prizes. (Thisday)
