Just a month, to the solemnization of his marriage, a 30-year-old dispatch rider was yesterday crushed to death by a train in the Fagba area of Lagos State.

It was learnt that before his painful death, the deceased identified as Johnson, works with a courier service in Ikeja.

The deceased, who is supposed to be getting married next month, met his untimely death while running an errand with the company motor cycle from Abule Egba area of Lagos.

Eye witnesses reports that the late Jackson wanted to hurriedly cross the rail line when he was killed by the train, this was after vehicular movement have been stop to allow for the passage of the train. They said the deceased was dragged by the train but was later rescued dead while in the pool of his own blood.

Police officers from the Oko Oba division later came and evacuated the remains of Johnson.

One of those that witnessed the incident recounts that “It happened around 12 pm. It was very bloody. I could not look at his corpse twice. My colleagues rushed to take him out of the train, but he was dead. Our chairman called the Oko Oba police station to come and evacuate the body.
