For fear that his unborn child might take after his evil footsteps, a worried armed robbery suspect presently in the custody of the Lagos State Police Command, Musliyu Ahmed, allegedly ordered his lover to end the life of the child she is carrying for him.

It was learnt that Ahmed's sweetheart was already three months gone in her nine months course when he told her to go for an abortion because he does not want to give birth to a child that would grow to be an armed robber like him.

The 23-year-old suspect was arrested with his three-man gang by the police in Ketu area of the state recently.

He reportedly confessed, "I had to force her to go for an abortion because I do not want her to give birth to a child, who will have the blood of an armed robber. And because she understands the nature of my job, she had to obey. I want to get married and start having kids after I quit armed robbery."

According to reports, Ahmed, a notorious and wanted armed robber, was arrested by the police after a tip off. He was reportedly caught with four locally-made guns, which he kept in his house around railway line at Bolade, Oshodi.

Other items recovered from him were a Toyota Highlander, Toyota Camry and Toyota Sienna cars.

Before their arrest, Ahmed and his gang were said to have terrorized residents of the state and had allegedly carried out successful robbery operations in Lagos and Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
