No Father! No Mother!, I Cannot Take Care of My Younger Ones Alone…Actress, Nkem Ikeh
Beautiful Nollywood actress, Nkem Ike, is still mourning the sudden death of her father, Mr. Ike who died on Feb. 4, 2015 after a brief illness.
The Enugu-born thespian who last received a call from her dad while on her way to Oji-River on the campaign train of Nollywood supporters for the re-election bid of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Goodluck Ebele Jonathan at the February elections, was surprised to get a call that her father was dead.
Nkem who could not hold back her tears, questioned why death had to come knocking so soon thereby taking her dad and leaving her to care for her younger ones all alone.
Read her sad note below;
“Who will look after your children? Since 2004, you took up the role of a mother and father. You promised me that you would make sure I don't miss my mum. Now you are no more too. Can I play the role of a mother and father to my younger ones? Death where is thy sting? Dad you called me on my way to Oji-river, you would have waited for me to see you alive not your corpse. Edu have been crying since yesterday instead of celebrating the admission into the university. Your grand son Sean refused to sleep . Dad I am still holding my phone tight because I know you will call me and tell me you are still alive.”
