I Was Under A Curse—Emmanuel Emenike
Nigerian international, Emmanuel Emenike has revealed the shocking reason he has not scored in a long while on the field of play. The prolific striker explained that he was under a curse.
The soccer star, in an interview with a Turkish newspaper, Milliyet, noted that something went wrong somewhere, which made him unable to score a goal in a football match for a long time.
“My energy is not right, something is wrong, I just need a goal to get back to form,” Emenike said.
The Nigeria and Fenerbahce striker went almost three months without scoring for his Turkish club and has now blamed bad luck for the barren run.
It was learnt that the former Spartak Moscow striker subsequently underwent a ritual called 'Kur_un Dökme' apparently to “remove the curse,” and interestingly, the player scored his first league goal since November 2, 2014 shortly after he reportedly underwent the 'Kur_un Dökme.'
He netted the winning goal as Fenerbahçe overcame Karabükspor at Dr Necmettin Seyhoglu Stadium.
