Muna Obiekwe's Death Will Affect Nollywood--Benedict Johnson
Nollywood actor, Benedict Johnson has described his late colleague, Muna Obiekwe as a talented screen star whose death will affect the movie industry in Nigeria because his kind of talent is not easy to come by.
Benedict also stated that the late Muna did a lot for Nollywood and would be greatly missed and remembered for his good works.
The actor disclosed that Muna was one of those who helped to reposition the industry to what it s today, lamenting that if not the low profile life the fallen hero lived, he may have survived the kidney failure.
“Muna was a private person who loved to do things in his own way. He did not like publicity even though he was a star and that was the reason why he was sick and most of us did not know about it; it is painful.
“He was a perfect gentleman. His death is going to affect the industry because Muna was a talented actor, who did a lot for Nollywood of today.
“To where Nollywood is today, we must give credit to people like Muna who contributed their own quota to take Nollywood to where it is right now. So, definitely, we are going to miss him both as a star and as a talent.
“Talents are not born every day, but it is difficult to spot talents. Some people will come out and tell you they are actors but there are actors and we are going to miss him.”
