Wave making singer, Yemi Alade, has been in the news severally for allegedly having a hot romance with Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo, though both have continually denied the accusations.

But it seems Yemi is wondering why the word 'love' has been misused by the present crop of youths.

In her words, “Does our generation understand love? Do the people we go so far for love value our actions or even identify it as love? Will love be enough? Where do we go from here? 'Love your neighbour as yourself' is the definition of love.

“Being crucified by the people you love is the definition of love (Jesus Christ), but because we are blind, we acknowledge love when it's gone; far from our reach. Identify the selfless people around you and love them back for continuously loving you without asking for anything in return. I love my Effyzzie Team. It's a new year and the grind continues.”
