Ace Nigerian comedian-cum-singer, Koffi has kicked against the style of comedy which is gradually eating deep into the industry, where comedians throw jibes at audience who came for shows to relax.

Koffi stated that as comedians, they are supposed to understand the audience who are at the receiving end and get prepared rather than using them as a case study all because they (comedians) do not have something to say.

According to him, “First thing first, comedians need to understand their clientele. It is a comedian who has not done his homework that will get to an event and start throwing jibes at his audience; 'ehn, I no even know wetin I go talk sef, hey, bros how you dey now, see your belle.”

The comedian, who frowned at this development, defended himself, saying that he would never do such and called on his colleagues to desist from such attitude as the audience came to relax.
