Ogogo Introduced Me To Yoruba Movie—Iyabo Ojo
Top Yoruba actress, Iyabo Ojo has said that her foray into the Yoruba film industry was engineered by superstar Yoruba actor, Taiwo Hassan, who is better known as Ogogo. The sultry movie star said it was Taiwo who tutored her in being an actress in the Yoruba section of the film industry in Nigeria.
Ogogo and his close friend, Yinka Quadri, founded the Odunfa Caucus in the industry and have been responsible for training several movie stars in the industry.
Iyabo explained that after she graduated as a student under the Odunfa Caucus, she met fellow actor, Muka Ray, who is with another caucus. Recall that Muka Ray and Iyabo Ojo have been alleged by some people of dating each other.
The actress lamented that people got confused about her stand in the Odunfa Caucus because of her closeness with Muka Ray, explaining that her journey into film production was influenced by Muka Ray, but maintained that she is still a member of the Odunfa Caucus.
Iyabo Ojo made her first appearance in a movie in 1998, when she acted alongside Foluke Daramola in an English speaking film titled 'Satanic'. She played the role of 'Helen' in the flick.
