My Father Was Proud of Me for Lying….Temitope Ajayi

Chief Mrs. Temitope Ajayi a.k.a Mama Diaspora, has disclosed that she has lied to her father on several occasions just to get money to help her friends in secondary school.

Temitope Ajayi was one of the delegates that represented the National Council for Women Society during the just concluded Confab.

Mama Diaspora revealed that she was always ashamed seeing other children being sent out of school because of they couldn't afford their school fees.

According to her, “The irony is that whenever I remember my school life, especially that of my secondary school days, I could not understand why some fathers could not pay their kids' school fees. When they called them out in school as debtors, I felt for them. So I devised some lies to get money from my father to pay their school fees. I would tell my father that I wanted to buy some books and my father would give me the money. I would add my pocket money to that and use the money to pay for the school fees of my friends. I was delighted doing this because I did not like other children like me to suffer or be denied education. I love helping and assisting people to become successful in life. My father later told me that he knew that I was lying to him to collect the money but that he was proud of me because I used the money he gave me for a good cause.
